The Tomato Head plans to open a new location in the Gallery Shopping Center in West Knoxville.
News Sentinel business writer Carly Harrington reports that in August the new Tomato Head will take over the space currently occupied by Silver Spoon restaurant. Meanwhile, Tomato Head co-owners Mahasti Vafaie and Scott Partin plan to close their Maryville location due to lack of resources to manage restaurants in Maryville, West Knoxville and the Market Square Tomato Head.

Its official: It looks like the Goss Gawkers were on to something. On Monday, Fox confirmed that pop princess Britney Spears and sometimes troubled former Disney kid Demi Lovato will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the upcoming second season of the The X Factor.
Tough talkin show runner Simon Cowell tweeted a pic of the new judging panel, which was dismantled as part of a production overhaul in January. The shakeup saw pundits Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger sent packing along with host Steve Jones.
Cowell seemed more optimistic about Factors future as he wrote:

ORLANDO, Fla. – “I’ve been playing moms since ‘Training Day,’ and I was 25 when I made that,” Eva Mendes says. “Being a bad mom should come easily, by now.”
So don’t read too much into her role in “Girl in Progress,” Mendes’ latest film. The veteran spokes-model, queen of men’s magazine covers, a woman who, onscreen, is adept at “keying into both male and female fantasies of womanhood” (Interview Magazine), may have just turned 38. That doesn’t mean she’s quite ready to transition into “mom” roles. Even if her character, a self-absorbed and immature mother of a teen (Cierra Ramirez) who needs her, is what Susan Sarandon likes to call “a mom … with legs.”
