You just knew the story was too delicious to be true.

Seems the Biebs wasn’t the first person Mariah Yeater accused of impregnating her — and she wound up getting arrested for assault when he denied it.

As you’ll recall, the 20-year-old Yeater filed court papers last week saying Justin Bieber fathered her son Tristyn during a backstage liaison.

But now it’s coming to light that while she was pregnant, she told an ex-boyfriend in Nevada that he was the father. When he said it wasn’t true, she slapped him and found herself in handcuffs for assault.

Here’s her shiny mugshot, which I’m sure has gone into her son’s baby book:

Court papers show she was arrested on December 21, 2010 on suspicion of battery domestic violence, injury/destroying property of another and making threatening telephone calls. In a June 16 court date in Las Vegas, Yeater’s lawyer asked for a continuance, noting she lived in California and was “under doctor’s orders not to travel due to high-risk pregnancy.”

The continuance was granted with a date set for next month, but the ex’s family say they haven’t heard from Yeater since this summer.

In the meantime, Yeater went public with her claim that Bieber is the real father. He’s denied ever meeting her, saying:

“I’d just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true … I know that I’m gonna be a target – but I’m never gonna be a victim … I think that it’s just crazy because every night I’ve gone right from the stage to my car … It’s crazy that some people want to make up false allegations. But to set the record straight – none of this is true.”

A relative of Yeater’s also says she talked about giving up the infant for adoption before he was born, and never said anything about who the father was.

She also didn’t list a father on the birth certificate.

There were some stories floating around on Friday that Bieber’s girlfriend, Selena Gomez, had abandoned ship and ditched him after the Yeater’s allegations surfaced, but those reports have since been proven untrue.
