Tomato Head to open West Knoxville location, close Maryville location

The Tomato Head plans to open a new location in the Gallery Shopping Center in West Knoxville.

News Sentinel business writer Carly Harrington reports that in August the new Tomato Head will take over the space currently occupied by Silver Spoon restaurant. Meanwhile, Tomato Head co-owners Mahasti Vafaie and Scott Partin plan to close their Maryville location due to lack of resources to manage restaurants in Maryville, West Knoxville and the Market Square Tomato Head.

Its official: It looks like the Goss Gawkers were on to something. On Monday, Fox confirmed that pop princess Britney Spears and sometimes troubled former Disney kid Demi Lovato will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the upcoming second season of the The X Factor.

Tough talkin show runner Simon Cowell tweeted a pic of the new judging panel, which was dismantled as part of a production overhaul in January. The shakeup saw pundits Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger sent packing along with host Steve Jones.

Eva Mendes plays one hot (and bad) mom in ‘Girl in Progress’

ORLANDO, Fla. – “I’ve been playing moms since ‘Training Day,’ and I was 25 when I made that,” Eva Mendes says. “Being a bad mom should come easily, by now.”

So don’t read too much into her role in “Girl in Progress,” Mendes’ latest film. The veteran spokes-model, queen of men’s magazine covers, a woman who, onscreen, is adept at “keying into both male and female fantasies of womanhood” (Interview Magazine), may have just turned 38. That doesn’t mean she’s quite ready to transition into “mom” roles. Even if her character, a self-absorbed and immature mother of a teen (Cierra Ramirez) who needs her, is what Susan Sarandon likes to call “a mom … with legs.”

Dallas Bosses Recreate Infamous Shower Scene for Ad

Producers of the new series of legendary drama Dallas have made a cheeky reference to the show’s most famous moment in a billboard advertisement for the relaunch.

Viewers were left stunned in 1986 when Bobby Ewing came back from the dead after he passed away following a car crash the previous season.

The infamous plot peaked when the character, played by Patrick Duffy, was found by his grieving widow Pamela enjoying a morning shower, and his death – and the entire season – was explained away as a dream.

The audacious move sparked anger and awe in equal measure among fans ofthe show – and producers of the upcoming relaunch have boldly referenced the programme’s most famous moment in a new ad.

The poster shows Duffy and his original co-stars Larry Hagman and LindaGray in a shower alongside newcomers Jesse Metcalfe, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster, Julie Gonzalo and Brenda Strong – with the slogan, “They’re back.

Murphy lined up for Twins sequel

Movie bosses are reportedly eyeing a sequel to hit comedy TWINS – featuring EDDIE MURPHY as a new brother to ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER and DANNY DEVITO.

The 1988 film starred Schwarzenegger and DeVito as mismatched brothers, and producers are planning a follow-up, titled Triplets, which will introduce Murphy as a third ‘identical’ sibling, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Editors at the website report bosses at Universal and Montecito Picture Co. are looking for writers to help develop the script but a director is not yet on board.

The ‘Kendra On Top’ star and husband Hank Baskett are now planning to take classes after being impressed with how easily two-year-old Hank Jr. has picked up phrases from his nanny, who speaks to him in her first language.

Kendra told People: ‘We were at a friend’s house for dinner and all of a sudden out of nowhere he speaks this sentence in Spanish. He said, ‘I would like more milk, please.’

At the 25th annual Kids’ Choice Awards, the slime runneth over.

Host Will Smith opened the 25th annual Kids’ Choice Awards promising a record amount of the show’s trademark green gunk. Though some 20 awards are presented at the KCAs, the real suspense isn’t who will take home a “Blimp” (the show’s Oscar), it’s when and on whom the slime will spill.

It’s like a baptism into kid-dome that can come at any moment: from a hidden bucket, dumped from the rafters or exploded from little orange blimps.

“No one is safe from the slime!” screamed Smith.

If it’s a warm-up, it may be the warm-up to Miller’s best album yet. These five tracks are among Miller’s finest work.

The EP achieves an intimacy that Miller has rarely captured on an album. It’s unself-consciously modest and natural. Gellert’s stringwork is a perfect complement to Miller’s vocals and guitar, and nothing more is needed. In fact, anything else might dilute the power of the songs.

“Lo Siento Spanishburg West Virginia” is a bitterly comic portrait of a little community whose final betrayal is due to the town’s own charm.

CLAY AIKEN has suggested pop sensation RIHANNA would struggle on TV talent show AMERICAN IDOL because her singing isn’t strong enough.

The former American Idol contestant was asked which current chart star would fail to impress judges on the series, and he suggested Rihanna because of her “pitch problems.”

He said, “Oh God, there is too many. Too many… Current pop singer? I’ve stopped listening to them because they can’t sing. (I’ll go with) Rihanna (because she) has some pitch problems for sure. She does… Now I’m gonna get in trouble.”

The ‘Mad Men’ actress – who hasn’t disclosed the identity of her six-month-old son Xander’s father – is having a lot of ‘fun’ raising the tot and thinks falling pregnant couldn’t have happened at a better time in her life.

The 34-year-old beauty told Britain’s Grazia magazine: ‘I am at the right age, the right time in my life, where having him is just so much fun. I think being a mother is something I was meant to do.’

FRESNO, Calif. – A Los Angeles community destroyed by aliens and the ravaged remains of Mt. Olympus have more in common than you think. Director Jonathan Liebesman took what he learned while filming the 2011 release “Battle Los Angeles” to make his latest action-heavy feature, “Wrath of the Titans.”

“I definitely learned a lot about the hand-held style of filmmaking,” says Liebesman. “I also learned a lot about how to integrate CGI characters into the hand-held frame. If you want visual effects to work, they have to interact with what’s in the frame. You have to have the actors hit by real things.

“That was a major lesson.”

If Us Weekly snoopsters are to be believed, the Walk the Line blonde will have something extra to celebrate when she turns 36 on Thursday: A bouncing bundle of joy.
