Stiff competition from Showtime’s “The Borgias” and HBO’s “Game of Thrones” eroded value that the Starz network hoped to extract from a potential viewer base that seemed ready for an Arthurian-themed show. The success of other period dramas like “The Tudors” invited replication, but ultimately “Camelot” could not compete.

Fatt, 57, has been forced to pull out of the group’s US tour after having a pacemaker fitted at Sydney’s Mater Hospital yesterday, just 24 hours after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia, or an irregular heart beat.
Wiggles managing director Paul Field, brother of Blue Wiggle Anthony, told Confidential last night that Fatt blacked out earlier this week. After telling his bandmates, they urged him to see a doctor who immediately spotted that he had a too-slow heart rate.

NEW YORK (AP) – Christie’s auction house says it will be taking Elizabeth Taylor’s collection of jewelry, art, designer clothing and other memorabilia on an international three-month tour before selling it in New York in December.
Christie’s announced Wednesday that the tour will begin in September and include stops in Moscow, London, Dubai, Geneva, Paris, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. It’ll end in New York, where an exhibition of the late actress’ collection will fill Christie’s entire gallery space from Dec. 3 to Dec. 10.
