It’s Christmas time again, and there are plenty of musical presents for Santa to put under the Christmas trees of music fanatics.

“Young Man With a Big Beat” takes its name from a line used to promote him in 1956 and includes all of Presley’s masters from that year (two discs’ worth), a disc of live performances from that year (including a very low-fidelity previously unreleased 8-song set from Shreveport, La.), a disc of outtakes (including eight tracks of “Lawdy Miss Clawdy”) and a disc of previously-unreleased interviews. The packaging includes an excellent book and a cool packet of paper curios (photos, posters, reproductions of a ticket stub, etc.).

After nine seasons, the heartwarming reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will wrap up its run with a special two-part series finale, airing Jan. 6 and 13, ABC said Thursday.

The popular spinoff of the now-defunct plastic-surgery-focused Extreme Makeover was a ratings smash in its heyday — attracting a host a huge hit on Sunday evenings.

It peaked with 20 million viewers in early 2005. Home Edition has seen its ratings slide in recent years, however. T

Pop superstar LADY GAGA has rejected a number of marriage proposals from her former boyfriends – because they always pop the question after she has dumped them.

The Paparazzi hitmaker, who split from her on/off boyfriend Luc Carl earlier this year (11), can’t understand why past lovers believe they can fix their relationship problems by asking for her hand in marriage.

Blasting her exes in the new Vanity Fair magazine, she says, “How f**kin’ romantic, you a**hole. Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better.

“Star Wars” mashups aren’t exactly a rarity, but excellent parodies are a bit harder to come by. Today brings one such more-than-worthy entry, and just in time for the holidays!

The folks at OneMinuteGalactica (via Blastr) discovered a video called “The Sith who Stole Christmas,” combining two of pop culture’s all-time greatest villains—Darth Vader and The Grinch—into one wonderful mashup.
