Are you addicted to Pretty Little Liars? Well, there’s a good chance you may be finding a new show to watch this August then. Based on the novel by Sara Shepard, the same woman who wrote the Pretty Little Liars novels, The Lying Game will be the newest addition to ABC Family’s smash-hit line-up.

The trailer for the series has already found itself circulating on ABC Family, but in case you’ve missed it or get side-tracked for the moment when you question whether the lead actress, Alexandra Chando, is a younger Mischa Barton, here’s what you need to know to gear up for the August 15 premiere.

There’s Emma, the likeable kind-hearted foster kid who comes to the shocking discovery that she has an identical twin sister, Sutton. Sutton, however, was adopted by wealthy parents and seems to be living the dream life. When Emma agrees to switch lives for a few days with Sutton so that she can follow a lead about their birth mother’s identity, all seems to be fine… until Sutton doesn’t return to their designated meeting spot.

This leaves Emma in quite a position, left to decide whether to come clean about who she is and risk her own safety in order to try and uncover her sister’s whereabouts and answers as to why they were separated initially or to just keep living the dream life that isn’t really hers.

There is sure to be drama, suspense, great clothes and definitely a few hunks on the screen, like Blair Redford from Switched at Birth and Adrian Pasdar from Heroes. What more could we want?

The Lying Game premieres Monday, August 15, at 9/8c on ABC Family.
